Change

If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. (Maya Angelou, late American poet)

There are always things that displease us, things we’d like to change. But many times we can’t do much to bring about the change we want. When we can, we should do it graciously with the interest of others in mind. When we can’t, as Angelou suggests, we’ll need to change our attitude. Gracious acceptance and tolerance will enable us to accept the status quo.

Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:3)
