STOP AND THINK – Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead. Walk beside me and be my friend. (Albert Camus, French Nobel Prize-winning author)

We all need a leader, someone we can follow with confidence. Some of us will be leaders, too, having followers who trust us. But, whether leader or follower, we all need friends, companions who will walk with us through the good times and the bad. Friends who will encourage us when we’re down and speak directly to us when we need to be challenged.

There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). The pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice (Proverbs 27:9).
