When I come home from work, I take the dogs for a walk before it gets dark. But sometimes when I look to the west I can see an approaching storm. Not using the best judgment, I sometimes try to beat the storm. But Charlie, who has shepherding dog instincts, often sits down in front on me and will not let me continue on the path. Finally, I will give into his persistence and turn around to head back, usually making it home just before the storm hits.

I am learning to trust my dogs, but even more I need to learn to trust God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” (NLT)
