During my walks, I have noticed on sunny days that the sunlight is blocked by some of the trees. Yet, the light does get through, highlighting the leaves and branches, bringing them to life. The contrast between the sun and the darkness of the shade is striking.

I tend to let things block the true light of the “Son” from shining in my life. One tree blocking the “Son” could be pride. Another tree could be a lack of discipline, love of money, or envy. It is my struggle to not let these trees of sin block out the “Son.”

2 Corinthians 4:6 “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.”
