Dogs have different barks. When Wally and Charlie have a groundhog cornered, their barks are of authority. The deepness of their barks conveys they are in control. When I’m not in eyesight and hear the commotion, I rush to the scene. I want to make sure it is not a skunk or porcupine.
Can you imagine how deep and authoritative God’s bark must be? When John, James, and Peter saw Jesus transformed into his divine nature as he stood with Elijah and Moses, God spoke with a deep authority.
Mark 9:7 “Just then a light-radiant cloud enveloped them, and from deep in the cloud, a voice: ‘This is my Son, marked by my love. Listen to him.’”
