Most of the time we take our walks in the evening, but on weekends we often go out in the morning. It’s amazing how different everything looks in the morning sunlight. What was once in the shadows is now highlighted by the sun—new beauty is revealed.

It’s the same way with God when his light is shining on us—our inner beauty is revealed. In turn, we are able to see the beauty of other people when we see them through the eyes of God. It can be the same with what we would call “bad situations.” From our viewpoint things look bad. But from God’s perspective, he can see these times as a way to draw us closer to himself.

Colossians 3:1-2 “So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ resides…Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.”
