Jesus Speaks: Nuts, Yeast, and Mustard Seeds

Jesus was sent by God to visit earth over 2,000 years ago. What He said was recorded by eyewitnesses in the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Bible. This is how Jesus described God’s Kingdom.

God’s kingdom is like a pine nut that a farmer plants. It is quite small as seeds go, but in the course of years it grows into a huge pine tree, and eagles build nests in it.[1]Matthew 13:31-32 MSG

The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.[2]Matthew 13:33 NLT

The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches.[3]Matthew 13:31-32 NLT
