Interdependence

Pull a human out of a meaningful group and he or she begins to fall apart. Every “me” needs a “we.” (Thaddeus J. Williams, author)

That certainly contradicts what actor Humphrey Bogart is quoted as saying, “Ain’t nothing a man can’t do if he believes in himself.” It’s not like “I’ll do it my way,” which seems to be a popular attitude today. Independence is a great privilege, but most of us have discovered that associating with a group of like-minded people makes life much more worthwhile.

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (Hebrews 10:15)
