Purpose

All paths lead to the same goal: to convey to others what we are. (Pablo Neruda, 20th century Nobel Prize winner in literature)

Neruda expresses a popular worldview that centers on oneself. Everything is about “me” and we feel the need to make sure everyone knows and accepts the real me. This makes for a self-centered life that will undoubtedly run into conflict with others at some point. In contrast, the biblical worldview sees mankind fitting into God’s Story. When this is true, our lives are fulfilled and God is glorified

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28).
