Raisman is certainly an excellent example of her comment. As the third-most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, she must have trained long and hard for many years to achieve her goals. In times when she may have wanted to quit, she didn’t. In whatever facet of life we may be involved, it’s just such perseverance that can bring us success.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance (Romans 5:3).
