Friendships don’t just happen out of the blue, although sometimes it might seem so. Prof. C. S. Lewis once wrote, “Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’” When you discover someone who thinks like you do, there is an immediate bond. The former stranger becomes an understanding friend.
I am a friend to anyone who fears you, anyone who obeys your commandments (Psalm 119:63).
