Certainty

Whether or not you feel certain about something doesn’t make it any more certain . . . ; it only defines how you feel about it. (Scott Garber, pastor and author)

Is there anything we can be certain about today? Everyone has his or her opinions based pretty much on their personal worldview, which is usually a combination of influences from a variety of sources. Too often, one’s feelings are the final factor in determining what one might regard as truth. To discover truth, you have to go to its source as revealed by God in his Word.

Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. . . . Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! (Psalm 43:3; 86:11)
