Resilience
Man never made any material as resilient as the human spirit. (Bernard Williams, English philosopher)
It’s inspiring to see someone get up after falling or bounce back from an unsuccessful attempt to accomplish something worthwhile. We all have fallen or failed at one time or another, so it’s encouraging to see resilience demonstrated in real life. But there is something even more resilient than the human spirit; that’s the eternal Spirit that God offers all who trust him.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character. . . (Romans 5:3-4)
