Perfection

You don’t have to be perfect to have a perfect life. (Payton Christian, horse trainer)

It’s obvious that Christian is speaking of people, but in reality, no one is absolutely perfect. The pursuit of perfection is easier when we think of it as becoming mature. And growth toward maturity in every facet of life is a worthy goal. Only God is perfect, but he urges his followers to pursue the perfection they will ultimately achieve when they meet him.

But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48)
But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. (Philippians 3:12)
