Hope

Hope doesn’t go to sleep just because it’s dark outside; it lights up a candle and stays up waiting for the rest of the story. (Bob Goff, best-selling author)

In times of distress of one kind or another, we hang on to as much hope as we can muster under the circumstances. And hope should be more persistent than our worrying over tough times. We can rest at night if we are sustained by an unwavering hope. No matter the difficulty, genuine hope will carry us through when it’s anchored in something or someone strong and unfailing.

Why am I discouraged? . . . I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again—my Savior and my God. . . . O Lord, you alone are my hope (Psalm 42:5; 71:5).
