Haves and Have-nots
Once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things that you lack. (J Paul Nadeau, motivational speaker and author)
Have you found Nadeau’s observation to be true? Take a little time to evaluate your thought life. Are you too often wishing for things you don’t have or experiences you long for? Are you comparing your haves and have-nots with your neighbors’? Why don’t you make a list of all you do have that brings you and your family pleasure, and take time to enjoy them?
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
