Wannabes
Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are. (Kurt Cobain, musician and songwriter)
Cobain is a much-admired musician who has many young admirers and wannabes. And he has some very good advice about a person’s ambitions. He says that wanting to be someone else or to just be like another person is a fruitless goal. We should accept ourselves for who God made us to be and live our lives purposefully.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (Psalm 139:14).
