Swing Away

Ruth, “the King of Swat, held the career home run record for many years. Although he hit all those homers and retired with a high batting average, he was also the king of strikeouts, (1330). Had he been fearful of striking out, he likely would have missed hitting a lot of good pitches. The lesson is clear: don’t let the fear of failure keep you from moving ahead with the hard tasks.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7).
