God of Hope

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord. (Romans 12:19)

Since you excel in so many ways—in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, . . . I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving. (2 Corinthians 8:7)
