God of Hope

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness . . . (Colossians 3:12).

Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed (Proverbs 16:3). So prepare your minds for action (1 Peter 1:13).

Don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul (Proverbs 3:21-22).

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you (Joshua 1:9).

We can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear” (Hebrews 13:6).

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil (Ephesians 6: 11).

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. . . The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results (James 5:13, 16).

Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! (Hebrews 12:2)

What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord (Psalm 33:12-22).

For we are each responsible for our own conduct. . . (Galatians 6:5).
Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ (Philippians 1:27).

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. . . [And] When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth” (John 14:6; 16:13).
