God of Hope

Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days . . . (Ephesians 5:16). Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone (Galatians 6:10).

“We must celebrate with a feast, for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.” So, the party began. (Luke 15:23-24)

For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. (Proverbs 3:12).

Get the truth and never sell it; also get wisdom, discipline, and good judgment . . . whoever learns from correction is wise (Proverbs 23:23; 15:5).

Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts (1 Thessalonians 2:4).

The hopes of the godly will be granted . . . The hopes of the godly result in happiness (Proverbs 10:24, 28).

So, get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech (1 Peter 2:1).

Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth (2 Timothy 2:25).

Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge. (Proverbs 18:15)

Make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others (Colossians 3:13).

The words of the godly encourage many . . . Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them (Proverbs 10:21; Ephesians 4:29)

Someone is watching you closely, you know— Someone not impressed with weak excuses (Proverbs 24:12, The Message).
