God of Hope

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance (Romans 5:3).

Pay to all what is due them . . .  respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor (Romans 13:7).

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise (Hebrews 10:23).

For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies (1 Peter 3:10).

As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person . . .. A glad heart makes a happy face. (Proverbs 27:19; 15:13)

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you… [P]rove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. (James 1:5, 3:1;13)

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people (Colossians 3:23).

The Lord . . .  delights in the prayers of the upright (Proverbs 15:8). Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart (Colossians 4:2).

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:10).

For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened (Matthew 7:8).

I have not achieved [perfection], but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,  I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize. (Philippians 3:13-14) 

He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago (Ephesians 2:10).
