God of Hope

Wisdom: “Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years,  and your life will be satisfying” (Proverbs 3:1-2).

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed (Ecclesiastes 4:9).

So God created people in his own image. Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was excellent in every way (Genesis 1:27a & 31).

As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. . . For [the Lord] . . .  will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due (1 Corinthians 4:3, 5).

In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well (Romans 12:6).

Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil (Ps 119:133).
Jesus: “. . . take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).

For everything there is a season . . . A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 8).
May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love (Jude 1:2).

The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads (Psalm 145:14).

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness . . . (Colossians 3:12).

Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed (Proverbs 16:3). So prepare your minds for action (1 Peter 1:13).

Don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul (Proverbs 3:21-22).

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you (Joshua 1:9).
