STOP AND THINK Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard words. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. (Author unknown)

Peace is not merely a truce where weapons are not fired and bombs aren’t dropped. It’s not just ceasing to use harsh words or to shout obscenities. The Hebrew word “shalom” offers a helpful understanding of peace. It refers to wholeness or to harmony. When people are living together in harmony, there is genuine peace.

Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy. (Hebrews 12:14)
