STOP AND THINK – There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. (Soren Kierkegaard, 19th century Danish philosopher)

We are sometimes easily fooled by a brilliant argument or cleverly devised evidence, and maybe we aren’t to blame. But, we are at fault when we won’t accept the truth, perhaps because it brings pain or discomfort. And when it comes to spiritual things, we have to exercise faith, not in the event or the word but in the author of truth.

In him [Jesus] and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence (Ephesians 3:12).
