Wally is short in stature. I call him a low-rider because his legs are short, and his belly doesn’t clear the ground by much. I would have to lie on the ground to get a perspective of how differently Wally sees the world. He misses a lot because he can’t see over the next rise, but he still forges on.
But, don’t I lie too low—out of fear of moving forward in my faith because I can’t see what is coming ahead? Am I missing a lot?
In 1 Chronicles 28:20, David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
