When I walk with Wally and Charlie they run here and there, ahead of me, and out of sight much of the time. We have an understood check-in point that is the Forgiveness Tree. If they are not waiting for me, they will come running to my call. I’ll touch the tree and say, “Let’s go home.”

It occurs to me that I need a check–in point in my walk with God. It can be a friend or a group of friends, like my God Buddies. I have found it is good to have other believers to encourage me, teach me, and act as a way to check in.

Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.”
