We have a wood-burning stove, so part of our walks is to spot trees that could be potential wood for our stove. Think about this: The sun provides the light for the process of photosynthesis, which creates the nutrients for the trees to grow. We can then utilize the trees to heat our homes—but we must remember it begins with the sun.
God sent his Son, Jesus, to be the source of our eternal life, salvation, and hope. We should take the source of our hope and use it to fuel our service to God. Our service should be as simple as doing whatever we can to share the hope we have in Jesus, but we need to remember it begins with the Son.
Hebrews 5:8-9 “Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him…”
