The dogs blend into the woods, sometimes making them hard to see. Wally with his white and brown is usually visible, except in winter against the snow. But old black stumps and rotten trees can easily be mistaken for Charlie at any time; it’s easiest to spot Charlie on walks when there is snow on the ground.
We need to be careful as followers of Christ not to blend into the world so much that we cannot be recognized as his followers. Our current culture gives the message that we need to behave in certain ways to fit in. God is asking us to follow him at the risk of not blending in.
1 Corinthians 3:3 “You are still worldly. For since there is jealously and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?”
