Faith
Faith is like a muscle; it must be exercised to get stronger. (Billy Graham, late evangelist)
When it comes to physical strength, “no pain, no gain” is the mantra that encourages us to maintain an exercise schedule, accepting the momentary pain for the long-term benefit of the workout. In contrast, pain isn’t the result of exercising faith in the promises of God. Instead, there is spiritual growth and a joy that overflows to the benefit of those around you.
Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. (1 Timothy 4:8)
