Faith

Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action arrives, stop thinking and go in. (Andrew Jackson, 7th U.S. president)

Jackson played a major role at the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812, so his advice is worth heeding. Gathering information and making plans are essential, of course, but there comes a time when plans must be put into action. That’s a good lesson for all of us who may hesitate to move forward into the battles of life.

Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed (Proverbs 16:3).
