Work is a gift from God. The first man was placed in a garden and instructed “to work it and to take care of it” (Genesis 2:15). In fact, the Bible also says that if a man will not work, he shall not eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10). Good, hard work is of great personal benefit and provides opportunity for society’s well-being, also.
Work with your own hands . . . so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12).
