We sometimes think that changing someone’s environment will change his behavior. Years of experience have taught us otherwise. Even reform schools (whose intent is to bring a change in conduct) rarely accomplish their purpose. What is needed, of course, is not a change of circumstances but a change of heart and mind.
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is (Romans 12:2).
