God of Hope

Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it (Psalm 127:1).

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. . . . And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free (John 16:13; 8:32).

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people (Colossians 3:23).

A gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence. . . don’t betray another person’s secret (Proverbs 11:13; 25:9).

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

 We want each of you to show . . . diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized (Hebrews 6:10-11).

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7b).

I focus on this one thing . . . I press on to . . . receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us (Philippians 3:13-14).

Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper (Proverbs 13:4).

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

The tongue is a flame of fire . . . It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself . . . No one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison (James 3:6).

I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me. They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So they began this good work (Nehemiah  2:18).
