God of Hope

Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. . . . Pay attention and learn good judgment (Proverbs 2:2; 4:1).

Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone (1 Thessalonians 5:14). 

When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation (Proverbs 10:25).

I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God . . . is calling us (Philippians 3:14).

Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward (2 John 1:8).

Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live; learn to use good judgment (Proverbs 9:6).

Lord, remind me . . . that my days are numbered . . . So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Psalm 49:4; 90:12).

The words of the godly encourage many (Proverbs 10:21).
So encourage each other and build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11).   

Bad company corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:33). 

Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! . . . There the Lord will display his glory, the splendor of our God (Isaiah 35:2).

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:21).

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. . . . Neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow . . . can separate us from God’s love (Romans 8:38).
