God of Hope

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” . . .. Jesus to God the Father, “Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth” (John 14:6; 17:17).

God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied (Matthew 5:6). Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed (Proverbs 31:8).

Stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter (2 Thessalonians 2:15).

A truly wise person uses few words (Proverbs 17:27). Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them (Ephesians 4:29).

If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously (Romans 12:8)

The Lord has made everything for his own purposes (Proverbs 16:4). Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts (1 Thessalonians 2:4). 

Better to hear the quiet words of a wise person than the shouts of a foolish king (Ecclesiastes 9:17).

Many will say they are loyal friends, but who can find one who is truly reliable? . . .  a real friend sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 20:6; 18:24)

That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. (2 Corinthians 4:16).

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name . . . worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness (1 Chronicles 16:29).
