Focus

It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light. (Aristotle)

Learning to focus is an essential step in our development. As infants, we slowly learned how to focus our eyes on a specific object. That’s a kind of analogy of life itself. The more focused we are, the more we can give attention to the details of life that are essential to growth and improvement. In the dark times of life, we must focus on what we have learned in the light.

For you [God] are the . . . light by which we see. (Psalm 36:9)
Jesus: “If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” (John 8:12)
