God of Hope

Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave . . . Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper (Proverbs 12:24; 13:4).

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance (Romans 5:3).

Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise (Proverbs 19:20).

May integrity and uprightness protect me because my hope, Lord, is in you (Psalm 25:21). Righteousness guards the person of integrity (Proverbs 13:6).

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7)

Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them (Jonah 2:8).

Just as you excel in everything . . . see that you also excel in this grace of giving (2 Corinthians 8:7)

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life (Proverbs 4:23).

Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have (Hebrews 13:5).

God is our refuge and strength, A very ready help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). On the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me (Psalm 86:7).

So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today (Matthew 6:34).

Look straight ahead and fix your eyes on what lies before you (Proverbs 4:25).
